Rasim Zaimoglu believes the Napoli striker can move permanately with $2 donations from each supporter

A member of the Galatasaray board of directors has made an audacious proposal for their own fans to pay for £65 million Victor Oshimen.
The Nigerian superstar is currently on loan at the Turkish giants from Napoli. The 26-year-old looks to be a key figure in helping Gala beat Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce to the Turkish Super Lig title.
And the Istanbul side are keen to sign the towering striker on a permanent basis when his loan transfer ends in the summer.
Various proposals have therefore been presented on how Galatasaray could raise the cash to pay the reported release clause of 75 million Euros for the Super Eagles hitman.
One radical proposal has come from Rasim Zaimoglu, who has suggested that the 35 million official fans of the club pay a token of $2 each to raise the cash to make his move from Napoli permanent
In a statement on GS TV, Zaimoglu said: “If everyone contributes just $1, we can raise $35 million. If everyone contributes $2, we can raise $70 million! We must keep VOsimhen at Galatasaray.”
At the end of August, Osimhen was linked with top clubs in the Premier League and La Liga, or a money-spinning move to Saudi Arabia. After staying at Napoli for the 2023-24 campaign, things went sour as Osimhen fell out with owner Aurelio de Laurentiis amid a downturn of form for the team.
So bad did relations get, Osimhen was not given a squad number for the 2024-25 season as new boss Antonio Conte signed Romelu Lukaku as a direct replacement. The Belgian has been joined by the likes of Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour in leading the race for the Serie A title this season.
