FlushMe2Tears and viztyskie Conquer the Global Poker Grizzly Games VIII Series

Global Poker recently wrapped up The Global Poker Grizzly Games VIII series, which was a massive success on the US-facing social poker site. But for some players, namely the Gold Coin (GC) and Sweeps Coin (SC) champions and overall series winners, it was an even bigger success.

Global Poker hosted the massive series from Jan. 27 to Feb. 16, with multiple tournaments taking place each day from start to finish. The event was part of the 2024-2025 Global Poker Championship (GPC) season.

We last reported on the Grizzly Games series right in the middle. The biggest events were still to come.

Multiple Big Winners

There were a number of big winners during the recently completed online poker series. But two individuals stand-out ahead of the rest. The first one is "FlushMe2Tears," who conquered the Gold Coin leaderboard, and the other is "viztyskie," overall winner on the Sweeps Coin side.

Starting with the Gold Coin leaderboard, the first place finisher reached 10 final tables, an impressive performance alone. But the reason this individual won the series is because they shipped four tournaments, quite a heater. Two players — "KazRich" and "messeyjesse" — reached 15 final tables, and equally impressive accomplishment. Beyond winning Gold Coins and trophy's, many players received some stylish Global Poker swag.

Over on the Sweeps Coin side, six players won multiple events during the Grizzly Games series. All players in the top 10 of the leaderboard won at least one trophy. But they all played second fiddle to "viztyskie" who conquered two events and reached five final tables.

"BUYMEDINNER" finished in second place with three final tables and two tournament wins, while "Packers2010" also came close to the overall crown with three final table appearances and two titles.

Kyle Anderson, a PokerNews ambassador who streams on Global Poker, had a strong series and capped off a nearly nine-hour streaming session by winning the SC 33 Shootout Heads-Up turbo event for SC 2,044. The win-your-table-to-advance no-limit hold'em format had 284 entries.
