The Floki Inu project team advised people to get information about the Floki Inu token from official sources because some new projects are pretending to be the original Floki team but are scammers.
The Floki Inu project team has warned people about scams involving a supposed Floki token on the Base (Coinbase blockchain network) or Solana (a Proof-of-stake Crypto network).
According to the project team, the $FLOKI token is only tradeable on the BNB and ETH chains with the following correct contract addresses:
ETH: 0xcf0c122c6b73ff809c693db761e7baebe62b6a2e
BNB: 0xfb5b838b6cfeedc2873ab27866079ac55363d37e
The team has stated that any other claims are false and deceptive, and they advise everyone to stay safe and verify information from official sources.
This warning comes amid a surge in meme tokens being created on the Solana, Base, and Binance Smart Chain (BSC) networks in 2024, with thousands of tokens being launched daily.
While meme tokens have gained popularity, it's important to be aware of scams, especially pump-and-dump or rug-pull schemes, that often target retail crypto investors who are tertarik in making quick profits from small investments.
