The developers of AI-powered team-based hero shooter Farcana have announced that they are now officially building on the BNB Chain, bringing over the $FAR token to Binance’s well-known chain to enable trading and swapping within their ecosystem.

How Does the BNB Chain Integration Benefit $FAR?

By integrating the $FAR token to the BNB Chain, the web3 gaming community now has an additional blockchain network they can choose to trade and hold $FAR tokens in. This expansion also builds on the team’s “AI multi-chain vision” and makes it more accessible to a bigger community, so if anyone prefers sticking to Binance’s ecosystem, this integration now provides an opportunity for BNB natives to potentially gain interest in this gaming token and the project behind it, possibly leading to more holders and an overall bigger playerbase for the web3 game itself.

Next to bringing the token to a new chain, this integration is also said to benefit both $FAR and the BNB gaming community. According to the announcement, this integration will allow the team to introduce their AI companion gaming model to users on this network. It could also bring increased transaction volume through in-game activities, while potentially helping the BNB gaming ecosystem grow by convincing more blockchain gaming projects to join in if this integration leads to “demonstrated success”.

Last but not least, this move opens up new opportunities to make cross-project collaborations within the chain’s ecosystem. In the coming weeks, you can expect the developers to provide more updates on this integration and roll out various features.

Shortly after making this announcement, the team did launch 444% APR staking for the $FAR token on Binance’s blockchain. This was accompanied by the launch of a native bridge to allow token holders to easily move to the newly-supported chain with lower gas fees in order to start staking. The launch of this bridge comes not long after introducing the Stargate Bridge earlier this year, which allowed holders to move from Ethereum to Polygon.

The $FAR staking pool however has already filled up "faster than expected,” and as a result is temporarily closed, but the bridge is still open for those who want an easy way to move quickly between chains with lower gas fees. That latest X post also states that bridging your tokens will keep you “ready for whatever comes next” while teasing that the team is “cooking up new chances behind the scenes.”

What Is Farcana?

Farcana is a team-based PvP hero shooter powered by AI and in development by Dizzaract Games, which is said to be the biggest game development studio in the Middle East. The Abu Dhabi-based team is said to have more than 151+ developers, artists, and designers creating player-owned economies backed by AI-driven gameplay, with Farcana being their flagship title.

The web3 game will feature third-person shooter gameplay with 24 original heroes, hand-painted art, and a complete lore book to immerse yourself in this unique IP. Next to skill-based action across reimagined classic and new game modes, players will be able to play and own tradable assets and even interact with their own AI companions. These AI companions are in-game assistants acting as your digital twin that learns alongside you. There will even be an exclusive AI vs AI battle mode that will feature prize pools in $FAR tokens to compete for. Players will be able to customize their playstyle and utilize cross-combo abilities to form powerful strategies and pull off proper teamwork moves to secure victory.

According to the official gameplay trailer embedded in an X announcement thread earlier this year, players can expect to play with 24 unique heroes across 8 game modes and 8 different maps. The thread also includes a roadmap, revealing that alpha v0.4 is coming at some point this year, followed by a soft launch of this action-packed shooter in the same year.

The first prototype for the blockchain game was made back in 2022, and development has undergone multiple playtests since, providing opportunities to play to earn rewards in these test sessions along the way, such as in last year’s Gateway: Showdown, which had a prize pool of 1 million $FAR tokens. In 2023, the developers secured $10 million to develop Farcana.

Next to being used for prize pools, the $FAR token is also planned to be used for accessing exclusive game content such as in-game events and tournaments, while also being needed for recharging utility-based NFTs and utilizing NFT Land mechanics.
