Cross-chain settlement protocol Everclear, formerly known as Connext, has officially launched its mainnet, marking a major milestone in its mission to unify fragmented blockchain ecosystems.

Cross-chain settlement protocol Everclear, formerly known as Connext, has officially launched its mainnet. The platform, which handles over $125 million in monthly volume, is aiming to simplify and streamline cross-chain cryptocurrency transactions.
Everclear, which rebranded last year during a strategic pivot to solve crypto fragmentation more directly, is built on Arbitrum Orbit-based rollup chain. The protocol's clearing layer is designed to serve as a backend liquidity and intent-matching hub, enabling rapid and low-cost cross-chain settlements.
The core innovation is matching opposing transaction intents, which removes the need for users to manually navigate multiple blockchains to complete their trades or actions. Instead, users can input their desired transactions, and Everclear matches them with another user's transaction in the opposite direction.
This architecture allows for seamless interaction with any decentralized application (dapp) across any blockchain. The protocol enables cross-chain settlements in under 10 seconds, with minimal fees.
“Everclear is designed to be the unified layer for all Web3 interactions,” said Ben Armstrong, CEO of Everclear. “We are offering users the ability to interact with any chain or asset, effortlessly, with the speed and efficiency they've come to expect from next-generation technology.”
Everclear's vision is to become the go-to protocol powering the next generation of multichain Web3 applications, offering users the ultimate choice and control over their Web3 experience.
