Smart money investors are well aware that the highly-anticipated altseason largely depends upon ETH’s bullish strength. Several of the blue-chip meme coins, including Pepe and Floki, also have a strong correlation with the largest altcoin.

Ethereum price predictions from experts suggest the asset is facing key S/R levels, which could either catapult it to new all-time highs or an extended bear market. This is despite Donald Trump’s second son, Eric’s, support for the cryptocurrency.

Ethereum’s tepid price action belies its improving fundamentals. The POTUS’ crypto company continues to stack ETH, his son is flashing a buy signal and the world’s largest asset management fund, BlackRock, believes it has tremendous untapped potential.

Yet, the Ethereum price continues to trade at $2,700 at press time.

Donald Trump has also signed an executive order to create a sovereign wealth fund, which could invest in Bitcoin and majors like Ethereum. The fund will be managed by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, two of the most pro-crypto officials in the Trump administration.

Even Ethereum’s technicals have significantly improved, both in the USD and BTC pairs. For instance, ETHBTC reached a range-low after a 3-year downtrend following Monday’s crash, increasing the possibility of a trend reversal that could push the altcoin to new highs.

Ethereum’s dominance (ETH.D) also reached 9.24%, the lower trendline of a macro wedge, a prominent analyst Benjamin Cowan reveals. ETH.D could now bounce back to the upper trendline.

However, several Ethereum price predictions continue to highlight $2700 as the key S/R level which will decide its trajectory.

A daily close above $2,700 keeps the head-and-shoulder pattern intact, which has a price target of $7,000, analyst Ali Martinez reveals. Similarly, a 3-day close above $2,750 would keep its ascending channel intact, paving the way for $6,750 in 2025.

On the contrary, a breakdown below the $2400 and $2700 resistance levels could mean an extended bear market for the altcoin. Popular trader Nebraskangooner highlights the formation of a double-top on Ethereum’s monthly price chart, which could result in a correction to $1,200.

ETH holders could keep an eye on a daily close below $2,700 and a monthly close before 2,400 to sell and secure profits on their investments.
