Elon Musk is once again the talk of the internet after taking to his official X account (formerly known as Twitter) and changing his user name to "Kekius Maximus," his new favorite meme which also happens to be a cryptocurrency.
Elon Musk recently changed his X (formerly Twitter) user name to "Kekius Maximus," which is a version of Pepe the Frog (a famous comic character and internet meme) often AI-generated wearing armor in reference to Musk's obsession with ARPG games like Blizzard's Diablo IV and now Path of Exile 2. The meme in question quickly rose to fame after Musk changed his profile picture and X name to the character.
Musk also recently shared gameplay footage of Path of PoE 2 while on board a plane to test Starlink's latency and connection. He took to his X account and wrote, "Kekius Maximus will soon reach level 80 in hardcore PoE."

According to the viral character's official X account, the Pepe the Frog variant was made using X's AI tool, Grok through its image generator. Moreover, Maximus is described as a confident and charismatic leader from Ancient Rome.
By the time of writing this article, Musk's name change resulted in a 300 percent spike in 'KEKIUS's' price. Many users showcased concern about 'KEKIUS' due to the recent Hawk Tuah crypto scam.
One social media user jokingly wrote, "Imagine you're a journalist who's writing about Elon on X and it goes: "Elon Musk, aka 'Kekius Maximus' on X..."
Another wasn't so keen about the idea and wrote, "Elon calling himself “Kekius Maximus” is the perfect example of him being the most wants to be funny, isn’t funny guy in existence."
