Donald Trump Launches His 5th NFT Collection Created on the Bitcoin Ordinals Protocol

United States President-Elect Donald Trump has made waves in the NFT market once again with his latest collection minted on the Bitcoin blockchain. Trump's Bitcoin digital trading card NFTs are now available on the Magic Eden NFT marketplace.

Trump Launches 5th NFT Collection

United States President-Elect Donald Trump, who is set to take office later this month, has launched his fifth NFT collection. The collection features a limited edition of 160 NFTs minted on the Bitcoin blockchain network using the Ordinals protocol. The NFT edition is the first and only official Bitcoin Ordinals ever created by Trump Digital Trading Cards and President-Elect Trump.

The new NFT collection is available for collectors who purchased the 100 NFT cards from the “Mugshot Edition.” Eligible collectors can claim their Bitcoin Ordinals by submitting their Bitcoin wallets through the NFT marketplace Magic Eden. At the last check, users had minted 19 out of 119 available Ordinals, and the claim period will continue for the next 22 days until Jan. 31.

President-Elect Donald Trump entered the NFT market in December 2022. At the time, Trump launched his first NFT collection on Polygon, which featured a limited edition of 45,000 NFTs. Priced at just $99, the single NFT collection netted Trump around $4.5 million, but the appeal goes beyond individual purchases as Donald Trump’s first NFT collection sold out in a matter of weeks.

Donald Trump’s Crypto And NFT Journey

Since then, Trump has launched three other NFT editions, with the proceeds from the NFT sales going towards funding his campaign. In August 2024, Trump partnered with Bill Zanker, a renowned American businessman who is best known for founding the adult education company The Learning Annex, to launch his fourth non-fungible token edition on the Bitcoin blockchain network.

Donald Trump’s latest NFT venture marks his fifth foray into the crypto space. During his campaign, President-Elect Trump voiced his support for the crypto market, promising to revive Bitcoin mining initiatives in the United States. Trump even proposed the creation of a Bitcoin reserve for the country, which he believes could help pay off the $35 trillion national debt.
