Donald Trump Launches His Fifth NFT Collection, Debuting on Bitcoin Ordinals

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has unveiled his fifth non-fungible token (NFT) collection, making his debut on Bitcoin Ordinals.

The collection, titled "Trump Bitcoin Digital Trading Cards," comprises only 119 exclusive cards available to select backers of a previous NFT release.

Those who purchased at least 100 cards from the January 2024 "Mugshot Edition" will have access to the Trump Bitcoin NFTs.

As of now, 31% of the cards have been minted on the Magic Eden marketplace, with the claim period ending on January 31, 2025.

The NFTs are listed at premium prices on Magic Eden, ranging from 0.177 BTC ($16,500) to 20 BTC ($1.8 million). The exclusivity and limited availability of the collection contribute to its high valuation.

Trump's foray into NFTs began in December 2022 with his first collection, which generated over $24 million in sales and attracted more than 14,000 owners.

His January 2024 "Mugshot Edition," minted on the Polygon network, also performed well, attracting over 6,500 holders.

In August 2024, Trump unveiled the "America First" collection, offering perks like gold sneakers, physical cards, and VIP dinners. Despite these incentives, the collection reportedly struggled in sales, although some buyers did enjoy exclusive experiences with Trump.

With his latest Bitcoin Ordinals collection, Trump continues to explore the NFT space, leveraging exclusivity and high-value listings to attract attention. Whether this collection will match the success of his earlier ventures remains to be seen.

Stay tuned for updates on Trump's endeavors in the NFT market.
