Dogecoin: Billy Marckus denies the identity of the creator of Bitcoin revealed by HBO
Billy Markus, the co-founder of Dogecoin, has denied the revelation made by the HBO documentary about the true identity of the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.
it’s not peter todd bro 🤦♂️
“It’s not Peter Todd, bro.”
no way
This week, all eyes have been on Cullen Hoback’s documentary, which claims that Satoshi Nakamoto is none other than Peter Todd. However, for many, including Markus, this revelation came as a disappointment.
“He’s one of the most OG developers, but not the creator.”
The crypto community seems to be largely ignoring the hypothesis put forth by the HBO documentary, which is riddled with flaws.
Many believe that the evidence presented suggests a possibility rather than definitively proving that Peter Todd is the real Satoshi Nakamoto. Instead, it offers hints and assumptions.
The co-founder of Dogecoin is among those who were left unimpressed.
Dogecoin: Billy Markus reveals the true identity of Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto
In a series of tweets discussing Satoshi Nakamoto, someone asked Markus, the co-founder of Dogecoin, to share his thoughts on the true identity.
hal finney and friends
“If you had to make a guess, who would it be?”
.hal Finney and friends
According to Dogecoin’s Markus, the true creator of Bitcoin is a group of people: Hal Finney and friends.
This isn’t the first time Satoshi Nakamoto has been linked to Hal Finney, but the theory can’t be confirmed because the software developer passed away.
This past August marked the 10th anniversary of Hal Finney’s death. The crypto community remembers him as the person who received the first P2P transaction on the Bitcoin Blockchain.
Satoshi Nakamoto’s address sent a total of 10 BTC to Finney’s address, which was likely a test.
A slight dump in the BTC price
While the comments on the HBO documentary are largely negative, the price of BTC has also decreased over the past 24 hours.
At the time of writing, BTC trades at $60,945, with a -2.45% dump over the past 24 hours.
This price decrease may be a reaction of disappointment from crypto investors regarding the identity of Satoshi NaKamoto.
However, earlier this week, BTC was trading above $64,000. The rising price last weekend was attributed to the Asian markets pushing BTC up.
