Dogecoin (DOGE) Poised to Hit $1 Milestone in 2025, Market Cap to Touch $100 Billion: Galaxy Research

A recent forecast by Galaxy Research concludes that Dogecoin (DOGE) will reach a significant milestone in 2025. The cryptocurrency is expected to surge by over 170% from its current value.

Galaxy Research analyst Alex Thorn is predicting that Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) will finally hit $1 for the first time in its history.

“Dogecoin will finally hit $1, with the world's largest and oldest memecoin touching a $100bn market cap,” Thorn said in a post on X.

At the time of the report, DOGE was trading at $0.37, up 11.7% over the past 24 hours. The meme coin has a market cap of $55.47 billion, making it the seventh-largest crypto project.

Galaxy Research analyst Charles Yu also anticipates a decrease in market dominance by Tether's (CRYPTO: USDT) stablecoin.

“Tether's market cap will halve as other stables, led by USDC, gain more share via yield,” Yu said in a post on X.

He suggests that the revenue from USDT reserves will be used to fund portfolio investments and marketing spend by stablecoin issuers, leading to a shift away from Tether and towards yield-bearing solutions.
