CUDOS Joins the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI) to Scale Decentralized AI

Oct 02, 2024 at 11:36 pm

The ASI Alliance has added a new member, CUDOS, to the group. CUDOS operates a decentralized cloud model that can amplify the alliance's hardware investments.

CUDOS Joins the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI) to Scale Decentralized AI

Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) Alliance, comprising SingularityNET, Fetch.ai, and Ocean Protocol, has welcomed a new member, CUDOS. This addition to the alliance is a significant step in unifying the decentralized AI (DAI) networks under a single ecosystem.

According to a recent X post by SingularityNET, highlighting the September 2024 ecosystem updates, the addition of CUDOS to the alliance was announced on October 1.

As covered by CryptoSlate earlier, the ASI Alliance proposed the integration of CUDOS into the ecosystem on September 11, inviting FET, the ASI native token holders, to vote on the token merger from September 19 to September 24, 2024.

The proposal garnered overwhelming support from FET holders, with 96.67% approval across the Ethereum, Cardano, and Binance Smart Chain networks and 99.99% approval on the Fetch.ai Mainnet. This vote confirmed the addition of CUDOS as the newest member of the Alliance.

The integration of CUDOS into the alliance is strategically focused on computing hardware infrastructure. ASI aims to leverage the CUDOS decentralized cloud model, which offers enhanced scalability, cost-efficiency, and flexibility over traditional centralized approaches.

Another benefit that the ASI Alliance will gain through the CUDOS integration is access to thousands of the latest AI GPUs, such as Nvidia Blackwell GB200 and NVIDIA H100. ASI can access NVIDIA H100 at approximately 50% of the cost of Amazon AWS. This cost reduction might help amplify the impact of Fetch.ai and SingularityNET’s $153 million hardware investment.

Overall, CUDOS’ integration into ASI emphasizes the Alliance’s commitment to scaling decentralized AI and supporting the development of superintelligent systems. It further brings ASI closer to achieving its vision of building an open, scalable, transparent, and strong AI infrastructure that promotes rapid advancements. This is in addition to ensuring that the utility of the unified ASI token, FET, is boosted.

SingularityNET September HighlightsIn September, in addition to the CUDOS integration, ASI unveiled additional ecosystem updates. These include a live Minecraft demonstration session of the Autonomous Intelligent Reinforcement Inferred Symbolism (AIRIS) experiential learning system.

During the session, SingularityNET explained how AIRIS enables causality-based artificial intelligent agents, the strengths and limitations of Reinforcement Learning, and where AIRIS can be particularly advantageous.

Another key ecosystem highlight in September was the SingularityNET Ambassador Program. This community-driven initiative strengthens the transparency and decentralization of the SingularityNET ecosystem, recognizing the valuable contributions of Ambassadors.

In September, SingularityNET Ambassadors contributed to the ecosystem in several ways. For instance, the Ambassador Program held its first in-person event in Abuja, Nigeria, on Saturday, September 28.

Moreover, SingularityNET participated in TOKEN2049, the world’s largest crypto event, which was held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from September 18 to 19. SingularityNET connected with industry leaders during the event and exchanged ideas on how to shape the future of the decentralized AI industry.
