Cryptocurrency Markets Trade Lower on a Low-Volume Monday

Cryptocurrency prices declined on Monday evening amid a broader downturn in financial markets.
Notable Statistics:
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) fell 1.26% to $92,000.
Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) declined 0.8% to $2,800.
Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) was down 3.06% at $0.11.
Shiba Inu (CRYPTO: SHIB) dropped 4.5% to $0.00004.
Several major cryptocurrencies traded lower during Monday’s session, as markets showed limited activity ahead of the Christmas holiday.
Among the top performers, Aptos (CRYPTO: APT) gained 5.9% to $11.02 over 24 hours. The token, which was launched earlier this year, has seen several ups and downs in recent weeks.
Another strong performer was Filecoin (CRYPTO: FIL), which rose 4.04% to $8.28. The token, which powers a decentralized data storage network, has seen strong demand in recent quarters.
On the other hand, several tokens declined sharply, including STEPN (CRYPTO: GMT), which fell 6.06% to $1.08 and Trust Wallet Token (CRYPTO: TWT), which dropped 4.56% to $2.08.
Among the tokens, which saw strong gains last week, Aptos was trading lower, down 3.02% to $10.98, while Tamadoge (CRYPTO: TAMADOGE) dropped 2.06% to $0.08.
Overall, cryptocurrency markets showed limited activity and mixed trends on Monday evening.
