Crypto Exchange Giant Kraken Adds a Slew of Altcoins to Its Listing Roadmap

The second-largest crypto exchange platform in the US says it's going to be adding 19 altcoins.

Crypto Exchange Giant Kraken Adds a Slew of Altcoins to Its Listing Roadmap

Major crypto exchange Kraken is set to integrate a range of new digital assets, according to its updated listing roadmap.

The US-based crypto exchange platform, which ranks as the second largest in the country, has earmarked 19 altcoins for potential addition to its suite of products, as indicated by its latest roadmap, which is typically used to ensure transparency and prevent the front-running of tokens before they are listed.

Some notable digital assets on the roadmap include Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT) and Neiro (NEIRO) memecoins, and Notcoin (NOT), a tap-to-earn gaming token. Other memecoins being considered for addition are Fwog (FWOG), MAGA (TRUMP), Dogs (DOGS), and Moo Deng (MOODENG).

Kraken also plans to integrate three new blockchains – decentralized exchange (DEX) DYDX, decentralized storage network Arweave (AR), and Binance’s BNB Chain – along with their native assets.

According to Kraken, tokens that are being considered for listing on its platform go through a lengthy and extensive listing process that spans several weeks. However, being added to the listing roadmap does not guarantee that the crypto exchange will ultimately list the token, but rather that it is being considered for potential addition.

Kraken’s listing process involves in-depth analysis of a digital asset, a review by its legal team, and a vote by the Kraken Listing Committee (KLC).

“The committee reviews each listing and then the committee members vote,” the exchange explains. “If the majority of the committee supports the listing, we move forward. Why do we go to all this trouble for every listing? Two words: fairness and integrity.”
