The series, which applies to Gold Coin (GC) and Sweeps Coin (SC) players, began Jan. 27 and runs until Feb. 16 and is part of the 2024-2025 Global Poker Championship (GPC) season.

Global Poker is hosting the Grizzly Games VIII series, which began Jan. 27 and runs through Feb. 16. The series is open to both Gold Coin (GC) and Sweeps Coin (SC) players.

Throughout the series, players will compete for a variety of prizes, including GC, SC, and Global Poker merchandise. Some of the recent big winners include the following:

"RollsRoyo" took down the GC 11,000 No-Limit Hold'em tournament, which had a GC 2,500,000 guarantee. The champion, who beat out beat out 229 entrants, claimed the top prize of GC 464,219. "KennyMac23" finished runner-up for GC 327,447.

"1 Emoney 1" collected GC 585,590 in a 340-player no-limit hold'em tournament.

"Spookclown" received GC 1,420,493 in a GC 8,000,000 guaranteed event.

"Lewdogstar2234" was the biggest winner of them all, taking down the GC 99,000 tournament for GC 3,781,996, beating out 204 entrants in the GC 20,000,000 guaranteed no-limit hold'em contest.

On the Sweeps Coin side, some of the recent big winners include the following:

"Macdiddy1212" conquered a SC 11 tournament and the 678 other players for a SC 1,185.67 prize.

"Grushing999" also came out victorious in a separate event — SC 33 with SC 20,000 guaranteed for SC 2,961.66, outlasting a field of 645 entries.

"FLBoater75" took down the SC 99 Bounty 6-Max tournament and its 308 players for SC 5,785.76 on Feb. 4, plus SC 171 in bounties. That large field event had SC 33,000 guaranteed.

The series will continue through Feb. 16 when the SC 200,000 Main Event starts on Global Poker.
