extends Crypto.com’s existing Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license, allowing it to offer derivatives in the UAE.

The company announced today that it has been issued a limited license by Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA).

Crypto.com has announced that it has been granted a limited license by Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) to offer derivatives.

This follows the company’s existing Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license in the UAE.

Crypto.com’s regional entity will begin rolling out a range of derivative products, including futures, perpetual swaps, and contracts for difference (CFDs).

Initially, these services will be available to eligible institutions worldwide, with direct access to derivatives products also set to be granted to qualified investors later.

This new license also marks a milestone for retail customers. Thanks to this limited license, all Crypto.com customers can now deposit and withdraw USD via Standard Chartered, providing a smoother experience for managing funds.

Our latest regulatory milestone – @cryptocom has received its license from @varadubai to offer derivatives in the #UAE.

“We are aggressively transforming and evolving Crypto.com to provide users around the world all of the financial technology tools they are looking for in one place,” said Eric Anziani, President and COO of Crypto.com.

“This approval from VARA for a limited license is a significant and exciting step forward in our pursuit.”

Earlier this week, Crypto.com announced that users can now deposit and withdraw $LION via Arbitrum on the Crypto.com App.

Deposits and withdrawals of $LION via Arbitrum have just been enabled on the https://t.co/vCNztATkNg App.

This update provides a faster and more cost-effective way for traders to move their $LION tokens. This will take advantage of Arbitrum’s low fees and high-speed transactions.
