Coinbase is again under fire, this time from the corner of the state of Oregon
Apr 20, 2025 at 04:10 am
Crypto is available at Bitvavo and Bybit. Oregon goes to battle while other states drop out
The state of Oregon has filed its own lawsuit against Crypto Exchange Coinbase, while other states withdrew.

The US government is busy reducing direct attacks on Crypto Exchanges, but the attorney general of Oregon has decided to warm up an earlier case. Earlier this year, the American Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) decided to dismiss her own case against Coinbase into coins such as ICP (Internet Computer).
Now Oregon is attracting attention by leading the same argument almost identically, which, according to lawyer Paul Grewal of Coinbase, produces unfounded repetitions.
"This is literally what the SEC has already dropped. Oregon wastes tax money on a political show. It's time to continue," he added in a thread on X.

According to Crypto Exchange Coinbase, the new lawsuit of the state of Oregon is nothing more than a repeat of moves. Earlier this year, the American Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) decided to dismiss her own case against Coinbase. Nevertheless, Oregon chooses to put exactly the same arguments on the table again, and that is completely in the wrong way at Coinbase.
Paul Grewal, legal chief executive at Coinbase, is clearly in his message: "This is literally what the SEC already drops. Oregon wastes tax money on a political show." The full thread of his criticism can be read here:

- Pi Coin is currently trading at $0.63, marking a 2% decline in the last 24 hours. After reaching a local high back in February, the price has since experienced a sharp drop and now appears stuck in a sideways trading range. The key resistance level remains at $0.70, a level Pi Coin has attempted to break several times with no success. If this threshold is breached, it could open the door to further gains, potentially above $0.80.
