COIN Bandleader Chase Lawrence Parts Ways With Other Members, Cancels Tour

COIN bandleader Chase Lawrence has announced that he has parted ways with the other two members of his project and cancelled the rest of their tour after learning of their "behaviours" that "directly conflict with [his] values."

In a statement posted to social media, Lawrence revealed that he became "aware of revelations" surrounding members Ryan Winnen and Joe Memmel. While Winnen was announced to be departing COIN on January 17, this new statement shares that Memmel is also out of the group.

"Creating a space for love and joy through music has always been my mission," Lawrence wrote. "Discovering that this space has been compromised by the actions of others is truly heartbreaking. Unfortunately, these developments have led me to the decision that COIN can no longer continue as a band."

As for COIN's future, Lawrence says there's still "a lot to figure out," but that he will continue to make music regardless of whether or not it's under the COIN moniker.

The cancelled dates include one at Vancouver's Vogue Theatre. Refunds for the tour will be available at the point of purchase.
