Classic S8 preseason kicks off, regular season begins on March 10

The update introduces 66 new Level 2 cards, Gear mechanics, a revamped quest system, and changes to the Cursed Coliseum mode.

Axie Infinity has begun the Classic S8 preseason ahead of the regular season, which kicks off on March 10.

The update introduces 66 new Level 2 cards, Gear mechanics, a revamped quest system, and changes to the Cursed Coliseum mode.

Two types of Gear are available: Speed Gear, which boosts Speed and reduces Morale, and HP Gear, which increases HP and reduces Skill.

A new Starter Mode for newcomers and Guardian Mode for experienced players have been added to the quest system.

The Golden Wheel has been revamped, with AXS/SLP removed and replaced by other rewards. A new reputation-based system affects the amount of SLP earned.

Players can now earn SLP chests in battles, including mini-tournaments.

Additionally, there are buffs rebalancing, the removal of Guild Points from Guild Vault Support, and various UI and gameplay improvements.
