Cardano founder recently took to the X social media platform to boldly proclaim that the renowned proof-of-stake blockchain remains "number 1."
Highlighting Cardano's decentralized governance, Hoskinson explained that it has a key advantage over other blockchain projects.
Furthermore, he hinted at other "awesome" items in the Cardano roadmap that will set the blockchain further apart from its competitors.
This recent post follows Hoskinson's earlier showcase of some innovations on Cardano. Among them are Ouroboros, Cardano's consensus mechanism, a self-healing network stack, native asset standards, Hydra, Mithril and other developments.
As reported by U.Today, Cardano recently saw the successful activation of the Chang hard fork, kicking off the implementation of decentralized governance.
However, despite some technical milestones, ADA, Cardano's native token, slipped out of the CoinGecko top 10, being overtaken by several other projects. ADA is currently ranked 12th with a valuation of about $12.5 billion.
Some members of the community lamented significant losses in response to Hoskinson's latest statement.
But the Cardano founder has consistently downplayed the significance of short-term price action, opting to concentrate on the long-term prospects of the Ethereum rival.
Earlier this year, the Cardano founder faced some backlash for predicting that Bitcoin will not survive. This week, Hoskinson took a dig at the community behind the largest cryptocurrency, accusing its members of hailing MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor for simply borrowing money to buy Bitcoin.
