Charles Hoskinson Hints at Collaboration With XRP After Apologizing to the Community

Cardano founder might be joining Ripple in XRP, Midnight collaboration

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson hinted at a potential collaboration between XRP and Cardano during a recent YouTube video. Hoskinson mentioned having an upcoming meeting with Ripple’s chief technology officer, David Schwartz.

The collaboration could involve Midnight, a fourth-generation cryptocurrency that Hoskinson described as a metachain. Midnight is designed to integrate with various blockchains, including Solana, Ethereum, Cardano and others.

The key feature of Midnight is reportedly enabling developers to create secure, regulation-compliant smart contracts that maintain data confidentiality without compromising decentralization. This capability aims to address the challenge of protecting sensitive information in a traditionally transparent system.

Hoskinson’s hint at collaboration follows his recent apology to the XRP community for past statements. He also expressed interest in participating in Ripple’s upcoming stablecoin, RLUSD.

Ripple USD (RLUSD) is a stablecoin designed for enterprise applications like payments, built on the Ethereum and XRP Ledgers (XRPL). According to Ripple, RLUSD will be tailored for stability, efficiency and transparency. It aims to enhance Ripple’s cross-border payment solutions, catering to the rising demand for USD-denominated transactions.
