Cat-Themed Catana and Horse-Themed Cheyenne Surge Over 250% Amidst the Renewed Market Pump

Relatively new meme coins Catana and Cheyenne exhibited triple-digit pumps in the last 24 hours. This move has helped these meme coins earn the position of the top two gainers on CoinGecko.

Meme coins continue to dominate the market pump with cat-themed Catana (CATA) and horse-themed Cheyenne (CHEY) surging over 250%.

Catana price pumps 270%

Catana price has seen a 270% pump in the last 24 hours, with a surge from a 24-hour low of $0.008634 to as high as $0.03586. The exact reason for the surge is yet to be pinpointed.

The Catana meme coin was launched on the Solana (SOL) blockchain and was abandoned by its original deployer shortly after its release. It was later revived by its fans, boasting the cultural appeal of cat-related memes and a unique anti-whale mechanism to ensure fair trading.

However, Catana has not worked on any recent developments that could have triggered this massive price pump. It might be the overall surge in the crypto market cap and the pump of the Solana price that has led to this price surge.

Cheyenne price up by 250%

Bagging the second spot as the top gainer, Cheyenne has seen its price go up by 250% in the last 24 hours. The price has surged from a low of $0.007521 to as high as $0.04718.

One possible reason for the surge could be the announcement by BitMart that it will soon list Cheyenne on its exchange. This surge has pushed the market cap of Cheyenne to a value of $43.9 million.

Ripple reclaims $1

While the above meme coins are relatively new, among the top 10 coins, Ripple (XRP) stands out with its nearly 30% pump.

XRP has been on a positive pump since Donald Trump was re-elected U.S. President, which coincided with hints that SEC Chair Gary Gensler would resign.

The surge also follows a lengthy lawsuit by a group of state attorneys general against the SEC. The lawsuit alleged the commission of unconstitutional overreach and was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Following this, the price of XRP has surged to as high as $1.22 from $0.8701. XRP is currently seen to be hovering around the $1.15 level.
