Cardano (ADA) Founder Charles Hoskinson Name-Drops XRP to Drive Attention Toward Midnight

The XRP Ledger and XRP holders have not always been popular amongst crypto market participants and projects. However, this tide appears to be shifting.

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson is known for his efforts to support new technologies and projects that are pushing the boundaries of innovation. Recently, Hoskinson has been focusing on raising awareness about Midnight, a new privacy protocol being developed by Cardano.

As part of this effort, Hoskinson has been engaging with members of the crypto community on platforms such as Truth Social. In a recent post, Hoskinson noted that XRP holders will be among the recipients of the Midnight glacier drop.

This initiative will see the new privacy protocol distributing its native token to 37 million wallets across eight major blockchains. The chains in question include Avalanche (AVAX), BAT (BAT), Bitcoin (BTC), BNB Chain (BNB), Cardano (ADA), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

However, it is still unclear when Midnight will launch and when these tokens will be distributed to these specific addresses.

President Donald Trump also took to Truth Social on Sunday to share his thoughts on which digital assets should be included in the U.S. national crypto reserve.

According to Trump, the crypto strategic reserve should consist of five major cryptocurrencies, namely Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Cardano (ADA), Solana (SOL), and XRP.

“I am a big fan of President Trump and I am also a fan of crypto. I think it is important for the U.S. to be a leader in this industry and I am glad to see President Trump taking an interest in it. I hope that the President will consider including additional promising projects in his crypto strategy,” one crypto trader stated.
