BTC Bull Token (BTCBULL) Presale Races Towards $5 Million, Promises Bitcoin Rewards to Holders
Mar 28, 2025 at 08:28 pm
The XRP price plunged 5% in the last 24 hours to trade at $2.22 as of 3:57 a.m. EST, with trading volume rising 1% to $3.3 billion.
The price of XRP fell by 5% in the last 24 hours to trade at $2.22 by 3:57 a.m. ET, with trading volume rising by 1% to $3.3 billion.
This came after Dom Kwok, EasyA’s COO and co-founder, ran an X poll to ask customers whether they would be interested in a card that offers cashback in XRP.
However, Gemini was quick to point out that it already has such a product, which offers users up to 4% crypto rewards.
Announcing the new partnership with EasyA, which will allow the crypto exchange's customers in Singapore to convert their crypto to fiat at 0% fees, Kwok added that they are always looking for ways to add value to customers.
As such, he decided to ask the community what they thought of an idea he had for a new card product that would offer cashback in XRP.
This comes after crypto exchange Gemini announced a new partnership with EasyA in Singapore, enabling the platform’s customers to convert their crypto to fiat at 0% fees.
Following the news, which was shared by Kwok on X, one user suggested that they should also offer a card with cashback in XRP.
But Gemini was quick to note that it already has such a product, which offers users up to 4% crypto rewards when used on purchases.
"We launched that last year. Get direct deposit to Gemini and get paid early (coming soon) and you can earn up to 4% crypto rewards on everyday purchases with the Gemini Credit Card," the crypto exchange explained.
Winklevoss Invites Ripple Army to Sign Up
Following this interaction, Ben Raviv, Gemini’s head of Asia Pacific, added that they would be interested in hearing more about EasyA’s plans for expanding its services throughout Southeast Asia.
To this, Kwok responded that EasyA is currently focused on launching its services in Vietnam and the Philippines.
After learning about the new partnership, Tyler Winklevoss, Gemini’s co-founder, invited the "Ripple army" to sign up for the Gemini Credit Card.
"Calling on the @Ripple Army. Earn XRP back with the Gemini Credit Card 💳 every time you swipe. Get paid early and get 4% crypto rewards. Sign up today: https://bit.ly/3IqyI7L," Winklevoss wrote.
However, members of the token community were quick to recall how the billionaire slammed them as “dumb trolls” back in 2020 when the crypto exchange was refusing to add XRP.
At the time, Winklevoss claimed that Gemini was focused on "bringing on the best and brightest in crypto to advise us and help us navigate this rapidly evolving industry."
He continued: "We are also committed to adding new coins and tokens in a way that is safe, compliant and ultimately serves the best interests of our customers.
"Unfortunately, this also means that we will not be adding every single coin or token that people request.
"We are not interested in engaging with 'crypto trolls' on social media or responding to petty demands. Instead, we prefer to focus on building a best-in-class crypto exchange that traders and investors can trust."
But despite this statement, members of the token community continued to demand that Gemini add XRP to its platform.
In response to one user who asked why Gemini wasn't adding XRP, Winklevoss stated that the exchange was "open to suggestions," adding that people should "send in names of coins you'd like to see on Gemini."
Another user then suggested that Gemini should add XRP because it was the best token.
To this, the billionaire replied: "It's a good token. But we have many good tokens. What makes XRP the BEST token?"
This led to another user listing several reasons why they thought XRP was the best token, to which a flustered Winklevoss responded: "Ok, ok...I get it. You like XRP. Stop now. It's getting silly."
After another user intervened to tell Winklevoss to "chill out," the billionaire went on a tirade about how Gemini was a "beacon of light" in the crypto industry while those who demanded the addition of XRP were "dumb trolls."
This led to several members of the token community banding together to troll Winklevoss in the comments section.
One user asked Winklevoss how he liked his new voice in the morning, to which the billionaire replied: "It's a new day and I'm in a great mood. Let's keep the vibes positive and the trolls at bay."
Another user added: "Don't mind him, he's in a bad mood today because someone spilt milk on his Cheerios."
Winklevoss saw the funny side and responded: "I'll take
