BNB Chain has announced a new initiative to make stablecoin payments easier, faster, and cheaper, as part of their goal to bring one billion new users into Web3.
The BNB Chain team is working with popular platforms like Binance, Bitget, Gate.io, MEXC, and HTX Global to allow users to transfer stablecoins without paying gas fees. These fees, which are usually charged for transactions, will be covered by a service called MegaFuel, powered by Nodereal.io.
This enables users to freely move their stablecoins on these exchanges, as well as on wallets and decentralized applications (dApps).
To further enhance the user experience, BNB Chain is collaborating with renowned wallet providers, including Bitget Wallet and SafePal. In the near future, Binance Wallet and Trust Wallet will also join this effort, facilitating seamless stablecoin transfers with minimal or no additional costs.
Moreover, BNB Chain is facilitating stablecoin transfers across different blockchains through a partnership with Celer Network. This collaboration will allow users to transfer their assets without incurring any fees, increasing the flexibility and utility of cryptocurrency.
In a bid to integrate stablecoins into everyday use, BNB Chain is partnering with companies like AlchemyPay, Oobit, PayMuggle, NOWPayments, and Lunu Solutions to enable stablecoin payments for common purchases. This could entail anything from buying a cup of coffee to paying for services, ultimately making stablecoins as convenient as cash.
To commemorate this initiative, BNB Chain is kicking off the “Gasless Carnival Season” on September 19. During this event, users can withdraw stablecoins from Binance, Bitget, Gate.io, MEXC, and HTX to the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and opBNB without incurring any fees.
Additionally, the platform is offering $25,000 to cover gas fees for transfers via Bitget Wallet and SafePal, and a separate $50,000 for gas-free cross-chain transfers through Celer.
