Bizarre incident as Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants toss has to be done twice

The coin toss had to be done twice in a bizarre incident in Match 36 of IPL 2025 game between the Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday.

With Riyan Parag flicking the coin in the air and Rishabh Pant calling neither heads nor tails, Simon Doull announced that they will have to go for it again.

Parag and Pant had a laugh about it when the former was about to flick the coin in the air again. The visiting captain turned out to be lucky as the coin toss fell in favour of him and he opted to bat first, citing that the pitch looks dry and they want to be the first to take the surface's advantage.

Here is the video of the same:

After a stellar outing in the last game, Yashasvi Jaiswal has been benched for the clash.

Meanwhile, Riyan Parag is leading the Royals for the fourth time in the season as Sanju Samson's rib injury has forced him out of the clash. Additionally, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi is also making his debut, marking him out as the youngest player to play in IPL history.

RR playing XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubham Dubey, Riyan Parag (c), Nitish Rana, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Wanindu Hasaranga, Jofra Archer, Maheesh Theekshana, Sandeep Sharma, Tushar Deshpande.

LSG playing XI: Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), David Miller, Abdul Samad, Ravi Bishnoi, Shardul Thakur, Prince Yadav, Digvesh Singh Rathi, Avesh Khan
