Bitwise Announces the Listing of Four of Its Crypto ETPs on the London Stock Exchange (LSE)

Bitwise, a leading digital asset manager, has announced the listing of four of its crypto Exchange-Traded Products (ETPs) on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). The company plans to expand its BTC and ETH product accessibility through the LSE listing in order to cater specifically to institutional clients. The Bitwise goal behind LSE listings involves providing European market participants with efficient and liquid crypto investment solutions through these ETPs.

LSE Listing to Boost Bitwise Crypto Visibility

The four listed products offer professional-grade digital asset exposure to institutions. Investors interested in Europe’s cheapest Bitcoin ETP will find BTC1 as their ideal solution since its total expense ratio stands at 0.20%. The product suits investors with institutional backgrounds who demand dependable Bitcoin investments at low costs.

European investors benefit from the Bitwise Physical Bitcoin ETP (BTCE), which features a five-year operating history alongside being Europe’s most liquid Bitcoin ETP. This ETP offers European investors one of the narrowest bid-ask spreads available on the XETRA trading platform.

Traditional financial institutions can access Ethereum exposure through the Bitwise Physical Ethereum ETP (ZETH). An independent trustee protects the stored Bitcoin assets, which remain in cold storage. The product safeguards investors from possible default events triggered by the issuing entity. Ethereum investors find the Bitwise Ethereum Staking ETP (ET32) to be an optimal solution because the product automatically collects staking rewards daily, providing both operational efficiency and tight bid-request spreads.

All these products will launch first to professional investor sectors and wholesale institutional investors. The action brings staking opportunities closer to participants with proper qualifications. Retail investors based in the UK lack access to these products despite their presence on the LSE because of restrictions that offer better availability and visibility to institutional investors instead.

Managing Director Bradley Duke of Bitwise Europe expressed enthusiasm during his comments about the product listings. The increasing demand for crypto investments is becoming apparent as institutional investors join the trend, according to Duke in his statement. The mainstream adoption of crypto investments prompts Bitwise to create new products. In addition, it provides secure and transparent options for investors within the digital assets sector.

Bitwise Acquires ETC Group to Expand in Europe

Bitwise shows its commitment to professional-grade crypto products by acquiring ETC Group in 2024. After this acquisition, Bitwise could expand its European operations at a faster rate. Through its acquisition, Bitwise established the release of the Bitwise Solana Staking ETP alongside the Bitwise Aptos Staking ETP. The market requires increased exposure to diversified digital assets which these products efficiently address.

The LSE listing represents an essential component of Bitwise’s organization-wide growth plan. The organization intends to distribute its ETPs throughout various regulated trading markets. The access to Bitwise’s crypto products through institutional investors now contains no requirement for a crypto wallet. The backing assets correspond directly with each ETP product.

Investor protection functions as a fundamental priority within Bitwise’s operations. The ETP product design at Bitwise uses structures similar to those of precious metal ETCs through its independent trustee system and audited structures, and physical redemption procedure. The security measures serve to reduce the risks of insolvency and provide greater protection to investors.

The ETPs of Bitwise are available for addition to typical brokerage accounts, together with tax-advantaged accounts such as SIPPs and ISAs. The UK investors can use ETPs as suitable tools for their extended financial planning.

The rising competition within European markets for crypto ETPs prompts BlackRock and other firms to launch Bitcoin ETP products. The company focuses on secure, innovative, and efficient investment products for institutional investors who want to invest in regulated digital assets.
