Bitcoin Reserve Probability Spikes to 70% as Trump's Inauguration Day Nears

The probability of the U.S. government creating a strategic Bitcoin reserve this year has surged to 70%, according to the Kalshi betting market.

This speculation comes amid rumors that the new presidential administration may be planning to establish such a reserve, with the government recently selling 70,000 BTC, which could be used for this purpose. However, the sell has not yet been confirmed.

If the government does decide to create a strategic Bitcoin reserve, it could net them around $7,152,699,078 from the sale of this crypto.

The price of Bitcoin surged to $106,000 on Monday, but later pulled back and is currently trading at $103,120 per coin, showing a 2.71% decrease.
