Bitcoin Price Surges Past $80k as the Market Recovers

While the crypto market is recovering from Monday's drop, Bitcoin price has surged above $80k in attempts to recapture past gains.

The crypto market is showing signs of recovery after Monday’s downturn, with Bitcoin price surging above $80k in attempts to recapture past gains. However, major altcoins like ETH, XRP and SOL are still lagging behind in recovery.

After dipping as low as $76,800 on Monday, Bitcoin has now surged past $82,000 – up 2.44% in the past 24 hours. However, it is still down 5.7% in the last 7 days.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin price is trading near $82,600 with a 24 hour trading volume of $47.47 billion.

While Bitcoin continues to recover, ETH has failed to catch up with the momentum as it still trades below $1,900 price level. The price of ETH has failed to show any significant momentum despite its recognition by Trump for the strategic crypto reserve.

Other major altcoins like XRP and SOL are also struggling to rise above past highs due to heavy sell-off. SOL has dropped below a major support of $127 while XRP attempting to break above $2.2 – the price mark considered to be a key resistance.

From the top gainers, TAO has secured the first position today with rising over 16% in the past 24 hours, followed by TIA, PI and KAS with 13% gains. On the other hand, GRASS has been the top loser crypto today with it declining over 13%m followed by ENA’s 10% decline.
