As the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) authorized Bitwise's Bitcoin and Ethereum (ETH) synthetic exchange-traded fund (ETF) trading, Bitcoin gained significant attention on Friday. The industry anticipates that this approval will lead to the launch of more diverse cryptocurrency derivatives. On the Binance Tether market, Bitcoin is currently trading at roughly $104,400, up 0.9% from the previous day.
With the announcement of the issuance of Bitcoin Lightning Network, Tether secured the second spot. Today, Tether announced on its official website that it plans to issue its stablecoin USDT through Bitcoin's Lightning Network. The integration of the number one stablecoin USDT with Bitcoin has caught the attention of many investors.
Solana came in third place. This is attributed to the increased likelihood of spot ETF and Coinbase futures listings. Additionally, the launch of the Solana-based meme coin 'Official Trump' by former U.S. President Donald Trump seems to have had an impact. Solana is currently trading at $237 on the Binance Tether market, down 0.8% from the previous day.
HyperLiquid, which ranked fourth, has shown tremendous growth over the past two weeks. Notably, on the 28th, it surpassed Ethereum in daily fees and revenue. According to DeFiLlama, HyperLiquid earned $1.93 million in fee revenue that day, exceeding Ethereum's fee revenue of $1.82 million.
Litecoin, which is considered the most promising spot ETF after Bitcoin and Ethereum, ranked fifth. On the 30th, James Seyffart, a Bloomberg ETF analyst, reported that the SEC has begun reviewing the listing application (19B-4) for a Litecoin spot ETF submitted by Canary Capital. Global asset managers Grayscale and CoinShares have also submitted 19B-4s for a Litecoin spot ETF. The industry believes that a Litecoin spot ETF is more likely to be approved before Ripple and Solana, as Litecoin is classified as a commodity rather than a security.
Investors are also interested in Ethereum, Base, PumpFun (PUMP), ApeCoin (APE), and USD Coin (USDC), according to the report.
