Bitcoin (BTC) Prices Retraced Gains on Thursday After President Trump Addressed Crypto Investors via a Pre-Recorded Statement

Cryptocurrencies experienced a slight retracement of their recent gains on Thursday. This comes as President Trump addressed cryptocurrency investors via a pre-recorded statement, a move that might have contributed to the price movements.

Notable Statistics:

In the 24 hours leading up to Thursday morning, Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) fell by 1.4 percent to $83,700. Notably, this follows a 40 percent surge in the past two months.

Among the top ten cryptocurrencies, Aave (CRYPTO: AAVE) displayed the most significant gains over 24 hours, rising 10 percent.

Notable Developments:

President Trump delivered a pre-recorded message to cryptocurrency investors at the Invest in the Future Conference in New York on Thursday morning. This follows his previous statement in July where he expressed skepticism towards cryptocurrencies.

The former president's remarks come amid the growing acceptance of cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin, by prominent figures in the financial domain.

Top Gainers (24 Hour):

Among the top ten cryptocurrencies, Aave showed the most significant gains over 24 hours, increasing by 10 percent.

Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies, Chain (CRYPTO: XCN) displayed the largest gains, surging 137 percent.

Trader Notes: Crypto trader Javon Marks observed that Bitcoin has consistently displayed bullish signals across timeframes and recently macro; he's feeling the bulls never really left and are returning soon.

As Bitcoin prices pulled back, crypto trader Seth highlighted the importance of price action and stated that Bitcoin should hold $84,000 and not close below.

Pullbacks the day after is normal. #Bitcoin just needs to hold 84K. The wicks below are ok, but don't close below.

Crypto trader George anticipates new highs before year-end and advises traders to prepare for two scenarios:

Rekt Capital pointed out that Bitcoin is approaching the 21-week EMA (~$88,500), a critical level. In 2021, breakout confirmation occurred with a weekly close above this EMA, which was later successfully retested. A similar move now could signal further upside.
