World Economic Forum to Launch NFT Platform Highlighting Climate Change Impact
The World Economic Forum (WEF) is set to launch an NFT platform that will showcase digital artwork highlighting the effects of climate change.
The platform, called Climate Chain Coalition (C3), will feature 16 artists from around the world who will use their work to depict the impact of rising sea levels, deforestation, and other environmental issues.
The NFTs will be auctioned off on Nifty Gateway, with proceeds going towards WEF’s climate initiatives.
The initiative aims to raise awareness about climate change and its urgency, using art as a powerful medium to engage the public's attention.

Coinbase Settles With Dutch Central Bank Over Anti-Money Laundering Violations
Coinbase has reached a settlement with the Dutch central bank, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), over alleged anti-money laundering (AML) violations.
As part of the settlement, Coinbase will pay a €3.3 million ($3.5 million) fine and has agreed to improve its AML procedures.
DNB had previously accused Coinbase of failing to register with the central bank and not having adequate AML policies in place between 2020 and 2021.
Coinbase has since applied for a registration to operate as a cryptocurrency service provider in the Netherlands.

Crypto Markets See Red as Bitcoin Fails to Hold $100K, Ethereum Drops Below $3.4K
Crypto markets faced a downturn on Friday, with Bitcoin failing to sustain its recent rally and slipping below the psychologically significant $100,000 mark.
The total cryptocurrency market cap decreased by 0.74% over the last 24 hours to $3.35 trillion, while trading volume also dropped by 2.28% over the same period to $198.38 billion.
Among the top 20 cryptocurrencies, only a handful managed to post gains, led by The Sandbox and Peanut the Squirrel, which surged by 27.29% and 13.24%, respectively.
Bitcoin traded at $98,206, down 0.26%, while Ethereum dropped 1.29% to $3,383 as of press time.
