Bitcoin (BTC) price dips below $77,000 mark; Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Ripple (XRP) follow suit

Bitcoin (BTC), the world’s oldest and most valued crypto, dipped below the $77,000 mark early Wednesday. Other popular altcoins — including the likes of Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Ripple (XRP), and Litecoin (LTC) — landed in the reds as the overall Market Fear & Greed Index stood at 15 (Extreme Fear) out of 100

Bitcoin (BTC) dipped below the mark of $77,000 early on Wednesday as the cryptocurrency market observed a downturn in the early Asian trading hours. The cryptocurrency market observed an increase in selling pressure despite observations of large investors, commonly known as whales, engaging in activities consistent with accumulation.

The overall Market Fear & Greed Index stood at 15 (Extreme Fear) out of 100, as per CoinMarketCap data. The JASMY token became the top gainer, with a 24-hour jump of over 5 percent. AB saw the biggest loss, with a 24-hour decrease of nearly 27 percent.

The global crypto market cap stood at $2.43 trillion at the time of writing, registering a 24-hour dip of 3.62 percent.

Bitcoin Price Today

Bitcoin price today dipped below the mark of $77,000 early on Wednesday as the cryptocurrency market observed a downturn in the early Asian trading hours.

Bitcoin price stood at $76,452.37, registering a 24-hour decrease of 4.08 percent, as per CoinMarketCap. According to Indian exchanges, BTC price stood at Rs 65.87 lakh.

Bitcoin price observed a 24-hour low at $74,420.06 and a 24-hour high at $77,646.88.

Bitcoin had hit a new all-time high price of $79,700 on April 4, 2025, on Binance exchange. BTC price also observed a 7% drop on April 5 after the US regulators shut down operations of major crypto exchange.

Bitcoin price was in the support zone of $74,500, which could be tested again, especially with the escalation of the trade war as the U.S. imposed a 104% tariff on China, according to Edul Patel, CEO and co-founder, Mudrex.

Further, there was a sharp reversal in U.S. equities, which wiped out 4% of their intraday gains. However, the Dollar Index (DXY) slipped to 103.0, diverging from Treasury yields—a trend that could support BTC’s near-term price action, he added.

According to Glassnode, Bitcoin whales (holding 10,000+ BTC) achieved an accumulation score of 1.0, indicating increased buying activity. Bitcoin’s resistance is now back to $79,700, with support remaining above $74,000.

ETH Price Today

ETH price slipped below the key psychological level of $1,500 early on Wednesday as the cryptocurrency observed selling pressure.

ETH price stood at $1,454.86, marking a 24-hour loss of 8.25 percent at the time of writing. Ethereum price in India stood at Rs 1.32 lakh.

Dogecoin price saw a 24-hour decrease of 4.90 percent, as per CoinMarketCap data, currently priced at $0.1438. Dogecoin price in India stood at Rs 12.15.

Solana (SOL) Price Today

Solana price slipped below the key psychological level of $100 early on Wednesday as the cryptocurrency observed selling pressure.
