Bitcoin (BTC) Price Analysis: BTC/USD Bulls Target $108.4K High as Exchange Supply Dwindles

Bitcoin price started 2025 on a positive note with the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization breaching the 100k barrier once more.

Fresh institutional demand for Bitcoin ETF’s emerged on Friday with the world’s biggest cryptocurrency recording $908.1 million in net inflows into its US-based Spot ETF’s, according to data from Farside Investors. This marks the first day of inflows into theناءBitcoin ETF’s in 2025 after a prolonged period of outflows.

Bitcoin price rose sharply on Friday, continuing its recent strong trend. The world’s largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization rose to 103,647 by the afternoon session, up 3.7% for the day. BTC/USD seven day bull run continues with the lows being around 91,315 on December 30.

Bitcoin’s recent price performance has been closely tied to the inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20 and the optimism over a positive period for cryptocurrency under his leadership. Trump himself has floated the idea of a bitcoin fund for the US.

Rising institutional interest in Bitcoin bodes well for the world’s largest cryptocurrency and could propel BTC/USD to fresh highs in the coming weeks and months.

Technical Analysis BTC/USD

Bitcoin (BTC/USD) bulls have found their feet over the past 7 days.

The worlds largest cryptocurrency is on a 7 day bull run from lows around 91315 on December 30. Bitcoin is up around 3.7% for the day at the time of writing.

As things stand a daily candle close above the 100000 mark is needed if Bitcoin is to confirm a change in structure. This could embolden bulls and provide further strength to Bitcoin, potentially propelling it toward its all time highs around the 108364 handle.

Immediate resistance may be found at 103647 and the psychological 105000 handle respectively.

A rejection of these resistance levels could see Bitcoin retest the 100000 mark before the 50-day MA comes into focus at 97494. A break of this level will bring attention to support at the 95000 handle.
