Bitcoin (BTC) price today dropped by 1.85% in the last 24 hours to $83,382.51 at 06:38 ET (10:38 GMT). The world’s leading cryptocurrency was further down by $1,567.49 from the previous day’s peak. Fresh geopolitical and economic worries seemed to be fueling renewed nervousness in the market.
Bitcoin’s price band in the last 24 hours was $82,175.98 to $88,500.00, while the seven-day trading range was $79,688.82 to $88,500.00. The cryptocurrency’s volume at press time was 43,823.14 BTC (or $3,730,845,788 in U.S. dollar terms.)
Bitcoin was further 23.6% below its all-time high of $109,114.88, which was reached in March 2022. The crypto had drastically pulled back from the peak amid a combination of macroeconomic headwinds and policy uncertainty, which seemed to be impacting market sentiment.
Unless Bitcoin found a strong support zone or there was renewed interest from large institutions in the short term, further price declines couldn't be ruled out, analysts warned.
