Binance Will List Pudgy Penguins' Native Token PENGU Alongside the Simon's Cat Meme Coin on Dec. 17

Binance Adds Pudgy Penguins’ PENGU, Meme Coin Cat (CAT) to Upcoming Listings

Crypto exchange Binance is listing two new tokens on Friday, December 17: Pudgy Penguins’ native token PENGU and the meme coin Cat (CAT).

Binance announced the new listings in a blog post on Thursday. PENGU will be listed at 14:00 UTC on December 17, while CAT will be listed at 09:00 UTC on the same day.

PENGU will be available for trading in four pairs: PENGU/USDT, PENGU/BNB, PENGU/FDUSD, and PENGU/TRY. Meanwhile, CAT will be available for trading in three pairs: CAT/USDT, CAT/BNB, and CAT/FDUSD.

Binance noted that the new listings will be accompanied by airdrops of both tokens for users who subscribed their BNB to Simple Earn products between December 9 at 00:00 UTC and December 12 at 23:59 UTC.

The crypto exchange added that airdrop information will be released within 12 hours of the announcement, with tokens being distributed to user wallets one hour before trading begins.

PENGU is the native token for the Pudgy Penguins NFT collection, which was launched in July 2021 and quickly became one of the most popular NFT collections in the world. The token will be used for governance, staking, and other activities within the Pudgy Penguins ecosystem.

CAT, on the other hand, is a meme coin that was created in 2021 by a group of anonymous developers. The token is designed to be a fun and engaging way for people to participate in the crypto space.

Binance’s listing of CAT comes just a few days after the meme coin surged by more than 1,000% following a tweet by Elon Musk. However, the token has since given up most of those gains.
