Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has delisted three tokens from its futures market. The tokens in question are XEM, ORB, and LOOM. As a result of this decision, the prices of these tokens have declined.
Binance announced the delisting on Friday. The exchange stated that it will close all positions and perform automatic settlement on USDⓈ-M XEMUSDT, ORBSUSDT, and LOOSUSDT USDⓈ-M perpetual contracts on September 12th, 2024 at 12:00 PM PT. The contracts will then be delisted.
Following Binance’s announcement, the prices of the tokens began to fall. One token that experienced a significant decline was NEM (XEM). The price of XEM dropped from $0.28 to a low of $0.2532. However, the token later recovered some of its losses. At the time of writing, XEM was trading at $0.2621, down around 6% over the past 24 hours.
Another token that saw its price fall was Orb City (ORB). The price of ORB fell from $0.002896 to a low of $0.0026. The token price is still hovering around these levels at the time of writing. At the time of writing, ORB was trading at $0.0016, down 8.61% over the past 24 hours.
Finally, Loom Network (LOOM) also saw its price decline after being delisted by Binance. The price of LOOM dropped from $0.0077 to a low of $0.0072. The token price is still hovering around these levels at the time of writing. At the time of writing, LOOM was trading at $0.007323, down 4.45% over the past 24 hours.
