SparkPoint Acquires Ownly

In a January 16 announcement, SparkPoint shared that it has acquired another Bicol-based crypto firm Ownly to strengthen its presence in blockchain and AI innovation, particularly in NFTs and web3 solutions.

“By integrating Ownly’s robust NFT framework with SparkPoint’s growing suite of products, we’re laying the foundation for a more interconnected ecosystem. This move strengthens our position in the Web3 space and opens up new opportunities for innovation, particularly through SparkAgent — our flagship AI agent launchpad designed to revolutionize businesses and communities,” the announcement reads.

As a result of this acquisition, Ismael Jerusalem, the Chief Executive Officer of Ownly, will now be assuming the role of CEO for SparkPoint.

“The acquisition of Ownly is a game-changer for SparkPoint. We are now better positioned to lead the blockchain space into a future where AI and decentralized technologies converge to deliver real-world impact,” said Jerusalem.

SparkPoint also announced upcoming changes for January in an X post on January 10, which include a new website launch, the 2025 roadmap announcement, the $SRK Bridge to Arbitrum, and the testnet for the SparkAgent AI Launchpad.
