Barcelona vs. Borussia Dortmund betting tips: Raphinha to assist, Robert Lewandowski to score
Apr 15, 2025 at 05:03 pm
Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski (2), and Lamine Yamal wrapped up a convincing 4-0 win for Barcelona over Dortmund in Catalonia last Wednesday.
After Dortmund’s 4-0 hammering at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys last week, they need a miracle if they are to reach the Champions League semi-final for the second successive season.
Barcelona know they already have the tie won and will be looking to get the job completed with minimal fuss and incident when the two sides meet in Tuesday’s second leg at Signal Iduna Park.

Dortmund vs Barcelona predictions
Goals from Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski (2), and Lamine Yamal wrapped up a convincing 3-0 win for Barcelona over Dortmund in Catalonia last Wednesday.
The win was as comfortable as it gets, and barring anything sensational happening in Germany in Tuesday’s return leg, Barca will take their place in the semi-final.
The Catalan’s have been one of the strongest teams in the Champions League this season. Hansi Flick’s team has won nine of their eleven matches in the competition, finishing second in the group table.
A 2-1 defeat away to Monaco in the opening match of the group stage and a 2-2 draw with Atalanta on Matchday 8 are the only matches Barca failed to win.
Furthermore, Barcelona are still top of their domestic league. The Catalans have 70 points from 31 matches and hold a four-point lead over second-place Real Madrid.
Borussia Dortmund have had a strange season. The Black and Yellows have struggled domestically, where they sit eighth in the Bundesliga with 42 points from 29 matches.
However, in Europe, BVB have done considerably better. They are in the last eight and have won seven of their 13 matches, drawing two and losing four.
BVB saw off Sporting with a 3-0 win on aggregate in the playoff round. They then defeated LOSC Lille with a 3-2 aggregate win in the Round of 16. In both ties, BVB pulled off impressive wins on the road.
Sadly for last season’s beaten finalists, that run now looks to be coming to an end.
Dortmund vs Barcelona betting tips
Dortmund held Bundesliga leaders Bayern to an entertaining 2-2 draw in Bavaria on Saturday. The result will give them some confidence ahead of the second leg. Barcelona recorded a scrappy 1-0 win on the road against Leganes. It was far from a vintage performance for the Catalans, but they got the job done. Our match betting tips are below:
Barcelona to win or draw and BTTS
Despite the respective weekend results of the two teams, we can’t see any way that Dortmund overturns the deficit to qualify for the semi-final. Furthermore, we can’t see them beating Barca on the night either.
Dortmund does need goals, so we expect an open match. But as Barcelona doesn’t need to win, we are taking them to win or draw and adding both teams to score to get the bet paying close to even money.
➡️ Back Barca to win or draw and yes in both teams to score at 7/8 with Betway
Raphinha to assist
It does feel a bit like going back to the well again with Raphinha, but the former Leeds winger is having the best season of his career.
The 28-year-old has 50 goal involvements in 46 matches this season. He has scored 28 goals and provided 22 assists.
Such is the Brazilian’s number of goal involvements this season, he is just 3/5 to score or assist against Dortmund. Take goals out of the bet, and he is 47/20 to provide an assist. And with seven assists in 11 Champions League matches this season, including two in the first leg last week, that looks like a good value bet to us.
➡️ Back Raphinha to assist at 47/20 with SBK
Robert Lewandowski to score anytime
It may well be one of the most obvious predictions of the night given he used to play here, but we are going for Robert Lewandowski to score against his old club.
The Pole rubbed Dortmund’s noses in the dirt with a brace in the first leg, we can see him adding to their misery with another goal at his old stomping ground.
➡️ Back Robert Lewandowski to score anytime at 11/10 with bet365
