Axie Infinity Will Unlock 815,630 AXS Tokens on January 12th

Axie Infinity will unlock 815,630 AXS tokens on January 12th, constituting approximately 0.52% of the currently circulating supply.

Nearly 816,000 AXS tokens, valued at over $160 million at current prices, will be unlocked on January 12th.

According to data from Footprint Analytics, the upcoming unlock will constitute approximately 0.52% of the currently circulating supply of AXS tokens, which currently stands at over 155.3 million tokens.

The解锁 follows the previous batch of 1,030,190 AXS tokens that were unlocked on October 12th, 2023.

Prior to that, a batch of 1,120,930 AXS tokens were unlocked on April 12th, 2023, and another batch of 1,118,330 AXS tokens were unlocked on January 12th, 2023.

The upcoming解锁 is part of the Axie Infinity tokenomics, which outlines the distribution and release schedule of AXS tokens.

According to the tokenomics, a total of 270,000,000 AXS tokens will be minted, with the following distribution:

* Play-to-Earn Rewards: 50% (135,000,000 AXS)

* Ecosystem Fund: 25% (67,500,000 AXS)

* Team and Advisors: 15% (40,500,000 AXS)

* Binance Launchpad Sale: 5% (13,500,000 AXS)

* Play-to-Earn Early Access Rewards: 2.5% (6,750,000 AXS)

* Community Treasury: 2.5% (6,750,000 AXS)

Out of the total supply, 135,000,000 AXS tokens are allocated for play-to-earn (P2E) rewards, which are further divided into four categories:

* Adventure Mode (PvE): 37.5% (50,625,000 AXS)

* Arena Mode (PvP): 37.5% (50,625,000 AXS)

* Land Gameplay: 12.5% (16,875,000 AXS)

* Breeding Fees: 12.5% (16,875,000 AXS)

These P2E tokens are earned by players through various in-game activities, such as completing quests, participating in battles, and breeding Axies.

The earned tokens can be used to purchase items, upgrade Axies, or withdraw and sell on exchanges for fiat or other cryptocurrencies.
