Animecoin (ANIME) Rolls Out on Binance, Rewards BNB Holders with Tokens

Major crypto exchange Binance has airdropped Animecoin (ANIME) tokens to qualified users and listed the asset for trading.

Animecoin is the sixth project to be launched through Binance’s HODler Airdrops program, which snapshotted BNB holder balances to determine airdrop amounts.

Binance users can now trade ANIME against BTC, BNB, and BUSD trading pairs.

Animecoin is a “culture coin” that aims to empower anime fans by giving them a piece of the industry. The coin’s goal is to create a community-owned network of creativity where fans can own what they create and dissolve the boundaries between consumer and creator.

ANIME is trading at $0.0817 at the time of writing, according to CoinGecko. The 202nd-ranked crypto asset by market cap plunged by nearly 45% on its first day of trading on Thursday.

Binance has attached a seed tag to Animecoin. The exchange applies seed tags to lower-liquidity projects that could exhibit higher volatility compared to other listed tokens, and it requires users who want to trade assets with seed tags to pass quizzes every 90 days to ensure they’re aware of the risks.
