AneeMate Third-Person Extraction Shooter Heads into Closed Pre-Alpha on August 15th

Here's a look at the features you can expect to be included as well as details on what you can do to become one of the eligible players
Third-person extraction shooter AneeMate is heading into closed pre-alpha on Thursday, August 15th. Here’s a look at the features you can expect to be included as well as details on what you can do to become one of the eligible players who can download the game early on Windows PCs via the Epic Games Store.
What’s Included in Pre-Alpha?
This closed testing phase is focused on providing feedback on the core gameplay loop of the extraction mode so that developer QORPO Game Studio can further fine-tune and improve it to deliver an enjoyable blockchain gaming experience. As such, you can look forward to choosing one of 7 unique playable characters to begin exploring the colorful Hidden Islands while gathering resources, fighting enemies and other players, and capturing Pokémon-like fantasy creatures to save them. In the future, players will be able to use a clothing system to customize their characters. Exploration in this initial release won’t only involve walking on foot, but you’ll also be able to swim, double jump and glide your way across the world while potentially using grappling hooks as well. You can check out what some of these gameplay elements look like in the early development footage below, as well as in this earlier tweet.
There will be 2 servers to play on: one in Europe and one in Asia. According to a message from one of the developers in a recent Town Hall discussion in QORPO's official Discord server, this closed pre-alpha will run for 1 week. It's not currently clear if participants will get to earn anything from playing this early version of the game.
How to Participate
Playing early release is said to be possible for users who completed AneeMate Stickers Book Vol.1 and Vol.2., but also to holders of AneeMate Genesis Zero NFTs.
This means that anyone who would like to get access will have to either purchase an NFT from the Genesis Zero collection, which is comprised of creatures called AneeMates, or go and buy all the NFTs needed to complete either the first or second Sticker Book collection. The cheaper route is to actually try and get all of the distinct sticker NFTs to complete a Sticker Book. Each volume consists of 20 unique stickers, with the first volume available on the BNB Chain while Sticker Book Vol.2 is on Polygon. NFTs for both are available on the QORPO World marketplace, and if I calculated correctly based on the prices of the listings currently available on the platform, you might need around ~$125 plus gas fees for the first volume, or only ~$1.50 plus gas for the second volume, so even if the second volume takes a couple of more dollars, it's still the cheapest possible path to closed alpha.
Owning one of the cute pets from the Genesis Zero collection comes with benefits such as lifetime NFT royalties and access to all AneeMate IPs. Previously, holders were also able to participate in a soft-staking airdrop campaign for the $QORPO token as well as receive an allocation before TGE took place earlier this year. You can get a Genesis Zero NFT on the BNB Chain via aggregated marketplace Element or on the official QORPO World marketplace, with the floor price on the former currently being 1 $BNB (~$570). Alternatively, you could also try your luck at spinning the QORPO Spinner in the rewards section of the QORPO platform for a chance at winning a Genesis NFT alongside various other in-game assets. Users are awarded free daily spins, and anyone who wants to get more spins can do so by paying 1 $QORPO token (⁓$0.20) per spin plus gas fees in $BNB.
In the meantime, you can wishlist the Web3 title on the Epic Games Store before it eventually releases as a free to play title. According to the roadmap on the token’s official page, you can possibly look forward to a public open alpha launching later this year.
AneeMate represents the second gaming IP created by QORPO Game Studio, whom you may know from earlier as the studio behind Citizen Conflict, a free to play third-person hero shooter. That game is currently exiting its alpha phase after undergoing a couple of playtesting sessions from last year to now, rewarding participants through tournaments in the process. The last playtest, Alpha 5.0, boasted 59k players competing for a 300k $QORPO prize pool, playing a total of 610k hours. A beta for that esports-focused title is planned to take place at some point during Q3 2024, according to a tweet from last month. You can also wishlist that on the Epic Games Store if you like competitive team-based action.
All of the studio’s games and products are powered by the core $QORPO token, an ERC-20 ecosystem token that is designed to help onboard Web2 gamers by allowing players to use the token as
