Altcoins and Memecoins: Potential Gems Post-Bitcoin Halving

Apr 29, 2024 at 10:03 pm

Following Bitcoin's halving completion, Bittime, an Indonesian crypto asset investment platform, identifies potential altcoins and memecoins for monitoring. Bittime CEO Ryan Lymn highlights the historical trend of market strengthening post-halving, while Product Manager Fransiskus Bupu Awa Du'a emphasizes the observed price surges in Hedera (HBAR), Ondo Finance (ONDO), Badminton Network (AKT), Pepe (PEPE), and Shiba Inu (SHIB). These projects offer innovative solutions in areas such as blockchain-based financial products, decentralized cloud computing, and meme-inspired investments.

Altcoins and Memecoins: Potential Gems Post-Bitcoin Halving

Altcoins and Memecoins Emerge as Potential Investment Opportunities Post-Bitcoin Halving

Jakarta, Indonesia - Bittime, a crypto asset investment platform registered in Indonesia, has identified several altcoins and memecoins that warrant attention following the recent halving of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin halving, an event that occurs every four years, reduces the reward for mining Bitcoin, limiting the supply of the cryptocurrency. This has historically led to a strengthening of the crypto asset market in the medium to long term, according to Bittime CEO Ryan Lymn.

However, he emphasizes that market strengthening is not immediate and that the halving event has not triggered an instant surge in prices. Instead, the possibility exists for performance to shift to altcoins and memecoins, providing opportunities for portfolio diversification.

Bittime's Product Manager, Fransiskus Bupu Awa Du'a, notes that the cryptocurrency market has experienced dynamic changes during and after the halving. Notably, Bitcoin reached a record high before the event, unlike previous halvings. This has contributed to a less pronounced surge in Bitcoin's price post-halving.

Amidst the varied market sentiments, several crypto projects have exhibited potential for growth:

Hedera (HBAR): A public blockchain network leveraging hashgraphs, Hedera offers enhanced speed and security. It supports enterprise-scale applications and has garnered collaborations in the real-world asset tokenization and central bank digital currency domains. A recent announcement of tokenization for BlackRock ICS US Treasury's money market product on the Hedera blockchain has contributed to its 46% increase in the past week.

Ondo Finance (ONDO): Aiming to bridge the gap between traditional and decentralized finance, Ondo Finance focuses on tokenizing real-world assets and providing liquidity in the DeFi ecosystem. Backed by financial giants like Blackrock and PIMCO, ONDO has witnessed a 10% growth, reflecting the growing interest in asset tokenization.

Badminton Network (AKT): Operating a decentralized cloud computing platform, Badminton Network offers cost-effective and scalable alternatives to conventional providers. Its platform enables users to utilize unused computing capacity globally. The project has recorded a 28% price increase, solidifying its potential as a leader in decentralized cloud solutions.

Pepe (PEPE): Inspired by popular internet memes, Pepe seeks to establish legitimacy in the crypto world. The project capitalizes on the growing trend of meme popularity in crypto investments. Pepe has experienced a 49% price spike after Coinbase Derivatives, a prominent US crypto exchange, announced the inclusion of Pepe's futures in its trade list.

Shiba Inu (SHIB): Known as the "Dogecoin Killer" and part of a larger ecosystem, Shiba Inu is a meme-based token that has garnered a significant crypto community. Shibarium, a hard fork scheduled for May 2nd, is expected to enhance the network's scalability and functionality, generating interest in the SHIB token.

Bittime, established in 2022, offers a range of crypto assets with low transaction and admin fees. It recently listed several popular coins, including TNSR, OMNI, CTC, NEON, and CFG.

As the crypto asset market continues to evolve, investors should conduct thorough research and exercise caution in evaluating their investment strategies. The post-halving landscape may present opportunities for diversification and potential returns, but it is crucial to approach the market with informed decision-making.
