There was a moment of controversy during the coin toss before Alexander Zverev's French Open quarter-final match against Alex de Minaur on Thursday.

Video footage appears to show that Zverev changed his mind after the coin toss. Initially, he indicated that he would serve if he won the toss, but after the coin landed on its side, he claimed that he had chosen to receive, which was the winning side.

This incident sparked accusations of cheating and dishonesty from tennis fans and commentators. However, it’s also entirely possible that Zverev just got mixed up without any malice.
