Africa Bitcoin Community Graduates 50 Students From Financial Literacy Summer Camp

Accra, Ghana – The Africa Bitcoin Community (ABC) has graduated 50 students who participated in the Financial Literacy Summer Camp hosted at the Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC).

The camp, which was held in four sessions, saw participants from high schools being equipped with essential financial skills to guide them toward financial independence. A Bitcoin Educator, Nathaniel Dwamena, took the participants through essential topics such as Money Management, The Concept of Money, Budgeting, Saving and Investing, Bitcoin and Digital Assets, and Achieving Financial Independence.

The camp was designed to allow participants to engage in hands-on workshops and practical exercises to enable them to have a deeper understanding of financial literacy. This is expected to influence their financial decisions. The participants were guided to undertake project works on various topics covered during the camp and have them presented to enable them to gain hands-on experiences, with the best-performing group being awarded prizes in recognition of their efforts.

All participants were awarded certificates and provided with learning materials to support them in applying the knowledge gained during the camp.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Programs Manager at Africa Bitcoin Community (ABC), Prince Akpah noted that his outfit remains committed to promoting financial education across the African continent through annual financial literacy summer camps.

This, he said, aims at empowering the next generation by having more financially independent youngsters, adding that ABC aims to reach and impact about 10,000 youth on the continent.

“The Africa Bitcoin Community is dedicated to promoting financial literacy and the adoption of Bitcoin across Africa. Through initiatives like the Financial Literacy Summer Camp, ABC empowers young Africans to take charge of their financial futures and provides them with a unique opportunity to learn about Bitcoin and digital money.

“As organizers of the annual Africa Bitcoin Conference, this effort is part of our broader vision to promote Bitcoin adoption and economic empowerment throughout Africa,” he said.
