Confirm wallet compatibility

Different cryptocurrencies are adapted to different wallets. Before transfer, be sure to confirm that both the source wallet and the target wallet support this cryptocurrency. For example, Bitcoin commonly used Bitmask wallets, Ethereum is adapted to MetaMask wallets, confirming compatibility can avoid many subsequent problems.

Backup source wallet

Before transferring, it is extremely important to back up the source wallet. It can be backed up by exporting private keys, mnemonic words, etc. The private key must be kept properly and must not be disclosed. It is recommended to copy multiple copies of mnemonic words and store them in a secure place to prevent the assets from being restored when the wallet is lost or damaged.

Check network connection

Stable network is the basis for smooth transfer. The transfer process involves data interaction, and poor networking can easily lead to transaction failure or delay. Check the network in advance, use wired networks or reliable Wi-Fi to ensure the stability of the network and provide guarantees for transfer operations.

Open source wallet

Launch the Source Wallet app on the device. If you use a web wallet, make sure that the URL is correct and is an official and formal page. Enter your wallet password or log in through fingerprint, facial recognition and other verification methods to enter the main wallet interface.

Select cryptocurrency

The source wallet interface displays multiple cryptocurrency options. Find the currency you want to transfer and click to select. Some wallets may need to expand the asset list or switch to a specific currency page to select.

Click on the Send option

After selecting the cryptocurrency, click on the "Send", "Transfer" and other similar functions buttons in the wallet interface. The location of this button varies from wallet to wallet. Generally, you can search carefully in the asset details page or operation menu.

Enter the target wallet address

On the send page that pops up, enter the target wallet address accurately. The address consists of a string of characters, and must be checked repeatedly to ensure that it is correct. An address error will cause the assets to be transferred to someone else's wallet and are difficult to recover.

Set transfer amount

Enter the amount of cryptocurrency to be transferred. You can enter the amount number manually, or you can choose to transfer all or transfer them in a preset proportion. Pay attention to the transfer fee. Some wallets will automatically deduct the handling fee, which will affect the actual amount of money received.

Confirm transaction information

Carefully check the target wallet address, transfer amount, handling fee and other information. After confirming that it is correct, click the "Confirm Send" and "Submit Transaction" buttons to initiate a transfer request. This step is irreversible and be careful.

Enter a security password

To ensure transaction security, the wallet will require another password or additional authentication, such as SMS verification code, Google verification code, etc. Follow the prompts to enter the correct information to complete the authentication.

Wait for transaction confirmation

After submitting the transfer request, the transaction enters the blockchain network and waits for confirmation. Confirmation time varies by cryptocurrency and network congestion, and may vary from minutes to hours. During this period, you can view the transaction progress in your wallet.

View target wallet

After the transaction is confirmed to be completed, open the target wallet. Check it on the wallet asset page and confirm that the transferred cryptocurrency has arrived. If the account has not been received, you can check the reason based on the transaction record or contact the wallet customer service.

Record transaction details

After completing the transfer, it is recommended to record the transaction details, including transaction time, amount, wallet addresses of both parties, etc. This information can be used for future reconciliation and query transaction records to facilitate asset management.

Things to note

During the transfer process, do not close the wallet application or interrupt the network at will. Avoid operating on public networks to prevent information leakage. If you encounter any problems, contact the official wallet customer service in time to obtain professional help.
