How to Connect KuCoin to Google Authenticator

Google Authenticator is a two-factor authentication (2FA) app that helps protect your KuCoin account from unauthorized access. By enabling 2FA, you'll need to enter a temporary code generated by the Authenticator app every time you log in to your account.

Step 1: Install Google Authenticator

Download and install Google Authenticator from the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).

Step 2: Enable Google Authentication on KuCoin

Log in to your KuCoin account.
Hover over your profile picture in the top right corner and click "Account Security."
Under the "Security" tab, click "Enable Google Authentication."

Step 3: Scan the QR Code

A QR code will be displayed on the screen.
Open the Google Authenticator app.
Tap the plus (+) icon and select "Scan a barcode."
Scan the QR code using your phone's camera.

Step 4: Enter the Verification Code

Once scanned, the Authenticator app will generate a 6-digit verification code.
Enter this code into the "Verification Code" field on the KuCoin website.
Click "Enable" to complete the process.

Step 5: Retrieve Backup Codes

KuCoin will provide you with 10 backup codes.
Store these codes securely in case you lose access to your Authenticator app.
Note: Backup codes can only be retrieved once, so keep them safe.
