How to Close Your OKX Account

Step 1: Backup Your Assets

  • Transfer all your funds and assets out of your OKX account.
  • Export your transaction history and wallet addresses for future reference.

Step 2: Close Futures and Options Positions

  • Settle or liquidate any open futures or options positions.
  • Ensure your margin balance is zero.

Step 3: Sell Remaining Assets

  • Convert any remaining cryptocurrencies into fiat currency (e.g., USDT).
  • Withdraw the fiat currency to a bank account or other external wallet.

Step 4: Contact OKX Support

  • Log in to your OKX account and go to the Help Center.
  • Click on "Account Management" and select "Closing Account."
  • Fill out the account closure form with the required information, such as your reason for closing your account.

Step 5: Identity Verification

  • OKX may require you to complete additional identity verification steps to close your account, such as providing a photo ID or video call.

Step 6: Account Deactivation

  • Once your identity is verified, OKX will process your account closure request.
  • Your account will be deactivated within 24-72 hours.
