How to view real-time quotes and depth charts on Binance?

By analyzing the depth chart, investors can assess the supply and demand dynamics at various price levels within the crypto market.

Feb 21, 2025 at 12:57 pm

1. Create and Log in to a Binance Account

  • If you haven't registered a Binance account yet, visit the official Binance website. Click on the "Register" button and follow the on - screen instructions to complete the registration process, which usually involves providing an email address, setting a password, and phone number verification.

  • After successful registration, log in to your Binance account using your registered email and password.

2. Navigate to the Market Page

  • Once logged in, on the Binance homepage, you will see a series of navigation bars. Locate and click on the "Markets" tab. This tab serves as the gateway to access all the market - related information on Binance.

  • After clicking the "Markets" tab, you will be redirected to a page that displays a wide range of cryptocurrency trading pairs.

3. Search for the Desired Trading Pair

  • On the market page, there is a search bar. You can directly type in the name of the cryptocurrency you are interested in. For example, if you want to view the real - time market and depth chart of Bitcoin (BTC), type "BTC" in the search bar.

  • As you type, a dropdown list will appear, showing relevant trading pairs. Select the specific trading pair you want, such as "BTC/USDT" if you are interested in the Bitcoin - USDT trading pair.

4. Understanding the Real - Time Market Data

  • After selecting the trading pair, you will enter the trading pair's dedicated page. Here, you will see a wealth of real - time market data.

  • The price of the cryptocurrency is prominently displayed. It shows the current buying and selling prices. For example, the "Bid" price represents the highest price that buyers are willing to pay, and the "Ask" price represents the lowest price that sellers are willing to accept.

  • The price chart on this page shows the historical price movements over different time intervals. You can choose time intervals such as 1 minute, 5 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, etc., by clicking on the corresponding buttons above the chart. This helps you analyze the short - term and long - term price trends.

5. Accessing the Depth Chart

  • On the trading pair page, look for the "Depth" option. It is usually located near the price chart or in a specific section related to market data visualization.

  • Click on the "Depth" option, and the depth chart will be displayed. The depth chart provides a visual representation of the order book.

6. Understanding the Depth Chart

  • The depth chart has two axes. The vertical axis represents the price of the cryptocurrency, and the horizontal axis represents the quantity of the cryptocurrency available at each price level.

  • The buy orders are represented by green bars (usually) on the left - hand side of the chart. The higher the bar, the greater the quantity of the cryptocurrency that buyers are willing to purchase at that price level.

  • The sell orders are represented by red bars (usually) on the right - hand side of the chart. The higher the bar, the greater the quantity of the cryptocurrency that sellers are willing to sell at that price level.

  • By analyzing the depth chart, you can get an idea of the supply and demand situation at different price levels. For example, if there are very long green bars at a certain price level, it indicates strong buying interest at that price, which may act as a support level. Conversely, long red bars at a price level may indicate strong selling pressure, acting as a resistance level.

7. Using Advanced Features of the Depth Chart

  • Binance's depth chart also has some advanced features. You can zoom in and out on the chart to view the order book in more detail or a broader perspective.

  • Some depth charts also allow you to adjust the time frame for the data displayed. This can be useful when you want to analyze how the order book has changed over different time periods.

  • Additionally, you can hover your mouse over the bars on the depth chart to get more specific information about the price and quantity at that particular point in the order book.
