How the Propy (PRO) Coin is Generated
Propy is a blockchain-based real estate platform that allows users to buy, sell, and rent properties using cryptocurrency. The PRO coin is the native token of the Propy platform and is used to pay for transaction fees, staking, and governance. There are currently 100 million PRO coins in circulation, with the total coin supply capped at 1 billion.
PRO Coin Generation
The PRO coin is generated through a process called mining. Mining is the process of verifying and adding new blocks to the Propy blockchain. Miners use specialized computer hardware to solve complex mathematical problems, and the first miner to solve the problem receives a reward in the form of PRO coins. The block reward is set to 25 PRO coins and is halved every two years.
In addition to mining, PRO coins can also be generated through staking. Staking is the process of holding PRO coins in a cryptocurrency wallet and participating in the network's consensus mechanism. Stakers earn rewards for their participation, which are paid out in PRO coins. The staking reward rate is currently set to 5% per year.
PRO Coin Distribution
The PRO coin is distributed in a number of ways, including:
- Mining rewards: 50% of the PRO coin supply is allocated to miners as a reward for verifying and adding new blocks to the blockchain.
- Staking rewards: 25% of the PRO coin supply is allocated to stakers as a reward for their participation in the network's consensus mechanism.
- Token sale: 15% of the PRO coin supply was sold to investors through a token sale in 2017.
- Team allocation: 10% of the PRO coin supply is allocated to the Propy team.
Conclusion
The PRO coin is the native token of the Propy platform and is used to pay for transaction fees, staking, and governance. PRO coins are generated through mining and staking, and are distributed through a number of channels, including mining rewards, staking rewards, token sales, and team allocations.
